Meet the Irish

 Hello Irish!

For those of you returning, WELCOME BACK!  And for all of you who are new this season, WELCOME!  We are looking forward to a great season.

The first Irish event is coming up this weekend on the 22nd.  Our annual Meet the Irish event is here, and it's always fun.  We are doing a few new things this year, all designed to have some fun and get to know each other a little better.  

I've attached an overview to this email for your review. We'll play some games, eat some lunch, and have a quick introduction of all teams!  

9:00 for set up and arrival.

Bring your best softball weekend set up.  Canopies, chairs, whatever you need to make yourself comfortable. 

9:30 will kick off introductions of teams.  

Quick intro and photo op!  

10:15 for some fun events.

11:00 scrimmages will kick off.

Coaches should communicate to determine if your game is going to be whiffle ball or kick ball.  

Each team will have their own potluck and coaches will determine what time to eat based on your scrimmage schedule. You can bring a small grill, or subs, or whatever.  Please bring at least one large trash sack for your team.  We overfilled the trash cans last year and paid a penalty for that.  So please bring at least one large trash sack and figure out someone on your team who is able to take it away at the end of the event.  There will be music so no need to bring the portable speakers.

When not playing, we encourage you to watch other teams, cheer, and enjoy the fun.  

We have two more organizational events coming up this season.  We'll send more details out as soon as available.  

One will be a Bowling Night fundraiser - fun for the whole family! And the other is our Raffles and Races event - fun for parents and friends (this event is not for kids).
