 Irish, Reminder to SAVE THE DATE! FEB 17, 2024 6:00PM - 10:00PM TOLEDO ZOO - MALAWI EVENT CENTER Please note that if your fees are paid, YOU HAVE ONE ENTRY TICKET (a $100 value) already reserved for you.  Your ticket includes dinner and one entry into the reverse raffle with total prizes over $6,000 - and a Grand Prize Payout of around $5,000 .   You can also purchase your PLUS ONE ticket.   The PLUS ONE ticket is for your significant other,  so you can share the event with your Irish Family, and your own family.   The PLUS ONE ticket is $50. The Raffle and Races event will consist of the Reverse Raffle, various raffle baskets, horse races, and other events throughout the evening.   Each team will be responsible for generating one raffle basket for the event, and other sponsorship opportunities are available as well.   Table Sponsors Horse Race Sponsors Stage Sponsor Horse Sponsors ... and other opportunities available.   More information will come out to specific teams with your spec

Important Safety Reminder

 Irish, I want to share a short story and reminder of the value of taking the appropriate safety precautions, even when dangers are least expected.   This past Friday night during a routine 8U practice, we were running a 6 v 6 scrimmage.  Hitting off the tee to expedite the pitching process, but still running bases and playing defense.  What appeared to be a routine, albeit hard, hit up the middle struck the pitcher in the chest.  Of course it hurt and she was scared.  Out of an abundance of caution, her mom went ahead and took her to the ER just to be checked out and this is where the story really turned scary.  Two days in the hospital and still on a heart monitor as of today.  While we are all thankful she is ok and on the road to recovery, this should serve as a reminder that there is inherent danger in the sport, even with the younger ages where we think "they just don't hit the ball that hard".  Well let me tell you... some do.   There are countless stories of pitch

Winter Indoor Practices are about to begin!

 Coaches, parents, and players, Winter indoor practices are about to begin.  I want to take a moment to remind you of the rules for usage of the TriplePlay training center.   Rental/Usage of TriplePlay training center includes the use of the main training field which is sub-dividable into 4 lanes.   Prior to participating in the first training session, non-Irish teams must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) which lists NWO TriplePlay, LLC as a named insured.  This may be done at no cost with your current insurance provider. If you are unable to provide a COI, we can provide insurance for you at a fee TBD by our insurance provider.    Prior to participating in your first training session, non-Irish teams must complete a waiver, signed by the parent or legal guardian of the participating player, along with the participating player’s name.  Prior to participating in your first training session, Irish teams/players MUST be up to date on their player fees.  Deb Beaty (our finance b
